A few hours to connect to your creativity and play
Creative Mums Club is a gathering for mothers to make things together — no drop-off, no childcare-adjacent activity, no "self-care" euphemism. Just space, materials, and other mothers who also miss making things. And want to spark their own play and creativity.
Creative Mums Club started from my own desire to find space for my creativity again. A space that was mostly eaten up with breastfeeding, searching for wet wipes and playing with toy cars. In short my creative energy was flowing into my child, and whilst that was lovely I also felt the lack. The lack of making things for me, of finding creative ways to explore what I was going through. In short to figure out where I was by making. So I started to show up for myself in small creative projects. Creativity started to move forward and in that space I found that whilst I was almost never alone I was in fact quite lonely in my experience. And so I decided to see if other mothers wanted to make with me and they did. And bit by bit Creative Mums Club has become a space to meet as people, who happen to be mothers and find a little bit more of ourselves each session.
